Our Educational Verification Service is exclusively available to individuals applying for work visas who have graduated from Japanese universities or other accredited educational institutions in Japan.

With the introduction of COMPASS (Complementarity Assessment Framework), it has become mandatory to submit a educational verification proof issued by a Background Screening Company when declaring post-secondary diploma qualifications or higher to the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Singapore.
Under the COMPASS framework, if candidate wishes to earn points based on their educational background, they must declare the relevant qualification and submit educational verification proof when applying for a work visa.
As part of the application, employers are required to verify the following through a Background Screening Company:
Authenticity Check
　→ To confirm that the educational qualification submitted by the candidate is genuine.
Accreditation Check
　→ To verify that the educational institution awarding the degree is officially recognized and accredited.

To reduce the administrative burden on our clients, we provide both Authenticity and Accreditation Checks as part of a single, streamlined service package.

Based on over 20 years of experience and expertise in Japanese background screening by our company and partners, we understand that some Japanese educational institutions do not accept educational verification requests from Background Screening Companies due to the enforcement of Japan’s Personal Information Protection Law.

For this reason, we ask that candidates arrange for their English language graduation certificate to be sent directly from the Japanese educational institution to our office.
This approach helps ensure the authenticity of the document and allows us to proceed with the verification process more efficiently.

The time required to complete the educational verification process depends on the type of service you apply for.
First, please note that we will only begin the verification process after the following three steps have been completed. Once completed, you will receive an email from us with the subject line:
[Subject: GPVXXXXXXX – XXXXXXXXX has fully submitted their details] (Notification of Completed Submission)
✓ Completion of the online personal information form
✓ Upload of your passport (for identity verification)
✓ Receipt of your English-language graduation certificate by our office
Once you receive this email, we consider all required documents to have been submitted, and the verification process will officially begin.
Upon completion, we will send the educational verification proof in PDF format via email.

Please note: The processing time only begins after we had received all required candidate’s information and the original English graduation certificate from the university.

*Additional Costs (to be borne by the candidate and/or the employer):
In addition to our verification service fees, the following costs may apply:
-Any fees charged by the educational institution to obtain the graduation certificate (e.g., reissue or document processing fees)
-Postage or courier fees for sending the graduation certificate from the Japanese educational institution to our designated address
-Any processing fees imposed by professional organizations, universities, or other third parties
Please note that such additional charges may be payable by the candidate and/or the employer, depending on the arrangement.
